Richard Cleghorn-BrownA founder member of Act-IV, Richard has participated in all of its productions in capacities such as writer, director, actor, composer, orchestrator, effects deviser, publicity-materials designer and printer.
Currently he is directing the music he wrote and orchestrated for Oui Chef! and playing a number of roles in the production for the Buxton Fringe Festival. |
Helen BarterHelen is a founder member of the company and has written, directed and appeared in all of Act IV's productions. Having played both of Stamford Raffles' wives, Olivia and Lady Sophia in Raffles: One Heart and Mind, she is playing just one of Alexis Soyer's wives, Emma, in Oui Chef!
From time to time, Helen (with Richard Cleghorn-Brown) performs excerpts and songs, ranging from Shakespeare to Cole Porter to Claude Francois, in drawing and dining rooms across the Cotswolds. |
Andy Pritchard
Andy has been a member of Act IV since 2006. He has written, directed and appeared in all of the group’s productions since then. Currently he is playing Alexis Soyer in Oui Chef! Besides commercial and TV work Andy has appeared in numerous other theatrical productions, including lead roles with both the Meysey Players and Cotswold Arcadians. He is also a founder member of the Lechlade Mummers. |
Dave HeadeyDave joined Act IV in 2005 when he appeared in Sole Trader at the Edinburgh Fringe. He started acting at school, and has appeared in, and directed, numerous productions with Faringdon Dramatic Society. He also acted with the Cotswold Arcadians from 1992 to 1997. Among other roles he plays Soyer's business partner David Hart in Oui Chef!
As well as acting, Dave sings as a bass with Oxford West Gallery choir the Christminster Singers. |
Tara Pritchard

Tara PritchardTara has been a key member of Act IV since 2005, directing, writing and acting in many of the group’s plays and revues. Having supplied technical and directorial support to Raffles: One Heart and Mind, she is now playing a number of roles including that of Florence Nightingale in the current production, Oui Chef!
Prior to joining Act IV she gathered wide experience of the theatrical world, working with various local theatre companies. TV credits include Casualty, Doctors and Planet Patrick. Film credits include the recent production of Pride and Prejudice. A published author, she has recently won a writing award from the GDA for her first one act play Not a Soul in the Place and is hoping to see this performed soon. |

Jennamarie Smith
Jennamarie joined Act-IV in April of this year Oui Chef! is her first production with the company. She is extremely excited about playing numerous parts in the show, including that of Fanny Cerrito.
Jennamarie has been involved with Performing Arts since the age of 2½ which led her to gain a degree in Performing Arts at Winchester University. She is involved in many societies around Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Her most recent lead roles include Emma Carew in Jekyll and Hyde (Parabola Theatre company), Sally Bowles in I Am a Camera (Goring Gap Players) and Lydia Bennett in Pride and Prejudice the Musical (HAODS).

Peter BailliePeter's expertise with lighting and sound - including computer control - has been invaluable in bringing Act IV performances to vibrant life.
In addition to the intimate theatre of Act IV, Peter has served as venue technology manager for a number of large-scale open-air theatrical events, and has also been technical supremo for productions in a whole series of more conventional theatrical settings. |
